Are You Ready?

This question is for you, not me. For years I have been wanting to know why people think the way they do. Ok…it’s for me too. I confess. I want to know why our thought processes have been altered. How were we taught to treat others? Why does your past define you for who you are today? Do you like yourself? Why is expressing your dark feelings ok and will even benefit your life starting now? How do you make sense of past events you didn’t understand and still don’t? I will be giving examples and my insight based on events from my life, and I am hopeful you can find some connection emotionally or consciously. I want to help you become more aware of your environment and how you can change it for the greater good, even if it makes you “think outside the box” (that quote doesn’t even make sense- why a box?) What box? No time to crawl into those scary references now. How about: What makes you uncomfortable? Adaptable? Maybe this post does already… let’s crawl, nope…let’s dive into that matrix. You ready?

Post Script (P.S.) Forgot what that stood for. The pictures on my cover page represent stages. I will let you in on the significance….

  1. I believe what shapes us in our surroundings and how we were raised. Whether is was functional or not functional. You were told how to deal with situations which was acceptable to them. As we grow we start challenging these ideas and what believe is right as we find ourselves. For me I grew up in very much a dysfunctional home and I broke the cycle and joined the military to run from it all. However, it bettered me as a person and allowed me to open my mind and situations that would mold me to the person I am today. I am continuing to grow every day. Just have to remember everything is a choice.

    1. Thanks Rose for your honesty! While I read this, I had always wanted to go into the military so I have great admiration for you and getting yourself out there and grew to what you want to be. To be continued 🙂
