Choosing Health Is Our Choice

We are living in different times right now. We have to take a breath and really hone in on what is important to us. The healthcare profession is suffering right now. We were heroes last year when things got ugly, and now we are being told how to be heroes. There is a lot of confusion out there. Lots of facts and statements. Right now, I am questioning not only myself, but what have I really contributed to making people the best they can be. Do I think pharma is what we should keep throwing at people to make them better, to make them feel whole again. Absolutely not. It is a quick fix. We should be taking the time to get to know why people are stressed, what are their fears, why are they the way they are now. Why are you the way you are now?

Life seems to be all about money. The more money you have, the better life will be. Money buys happiness? Depends on how you spend it. Life that is. How are you spending your life. Right now, I don’t know what I am spending my life on. I am being told if I don’t comply with certain decisions, certain entities don’t get their funding. Am I just a hard worker that funds the system? This certain system should be working for your rights in order to help others. It’s called a ripple effect. This system should have been helping my physical and emotional state while watching people suffer from day one. Giving me the tools I need in order to make a difference. Do I think they totally failed me? No, I just think it can be better. Healthcare professionals are the number one unhealthiest profession in the world. Eighty percent plus of us suffer from chronic conditions which may be physical or emotional. HOW are we supposed to care for others, if we cannot care for ourselves? So, you really have to look at how you are spending your life and if what you are doing is filling your soul with happiness, you are on the right path. The road less traveled by. We live in a world where we are told what to do and it starts the moment we are born. What if the majority of those things you were told were wrong. How would you cope?

As I live in this present day, I find myself lost in what I desire. I have goals, I just don’t know what they look like right now. I need clarity. The outside world is making this very hard on me right now. You have to learn how to shut it out and reflect on what truly makes you happy. I try and tell myself this every day, every minute. I can’t find it yet. Where do I turn to? You turn to the people that have had the most influence on your life. You turn to the people who are the most positive during these hard times. Then you turn to yourself and distract those constant negative thoughts, throw them out, and let the positive ones stream in. Do good and good will come to you. I just read a daily reflection before I wrote this and it informed me to stay positive with your current work situation, and if you don’t like it, stay positive and more good will come my way. Hard as hell to do right now, but that is me making a choice.

I know a lot of you are feeling this right now. We cannot control the outside environment, we can only control the inside environment. You control your reactions, your feelings, your thoughts, your experiences. You are in the driver seat. You always have been. Life is not a quick fix, it isn’t a pill. Those may help at this moment, but the long fix is you standing up and getting what you want from life. Asking out loud what you desire. How do I make all of this……work? Will it get better? That’s your choice, no one else.
